The Honourable MP Chhatrapati Sambhajiraje, the Chief Guest of the Program who is also the President of the Raigad Fort Committee, mentioned in his speech that while deciding about their support for the development, restoration and maintenance of nine Heritage Monuments, the Government of India should also include Lohagad Fort for development. About 6000 people participated in the Heritage Walk after the flag off by Hon. Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje of Kolhapur. Several dignitaries were also present in the Heritage Walk program which included Shri. Satyendra Raje Dabhade, MLA, Shri. Sanjay (Bala) Vishwanathrao Bhegade, Shri. Bapu Jaywantrao Bhegade, Mr. Bipin Chandra, Deputy Superintending Archaeologist & SA/IC, Mumbai Film Star Ms. Girija Oak, Mr. Erwin Steinhauser, Managing Director & Mr. Saharsh David – CSR Head of SANDVIK Asia Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Parag Jain, CSR Head, Bridgestone India Pvt. Ltd., Cmdr. K. Srinivas of INS Shivaji, Mr. B. K.
